The Human Rights Defense Curaçao Foundation (HRDC) was established on December 6, 2019 as a citizens’ initiative on Curaçao. Our mission is to safeguard the human rights of local community members, advocate for the rights of undocumented migrants, and promote democratic values throughout Curaçao. Together, we want to build a just society in which the basic human rights of all persons living in Curaçao are respected. To carry out our mission, we work with local and international organizations, sponsors and donors such as United Nations High Commissioners for Refugees (UNHCR), Pan American Development Foundation (PADF), Samenwerkende Fondsen Cariben (SFC), and the media.
